Mark your calendar: The Northwest's favorite hip-hop duo is heading back out on the road, due in large part to the mammoth success of their 2012 release, "The Heist," which went Gold this year.
The tour, which has 30 stops (including two performances at Madison Square Garden), hits Portland and Spokane first, and ends at Seattle's Key Arena in December.
"The Heist' has launched rapper Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis to astronomic levels of stardom, including performances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Colbert Report, the Billboard Music Awards, and the MTV Movie Awards. They've received attention from NPR, Rolling Stone and TIME. Most recently, they were featured on the cover of XXL Magazine.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were also featured in "The Otherside," a documentary about the burgeoning Seattle hip-hop community, which premiered at SIFF this month.
Special guests include fan favorite Talib Kweli and Big K.R.I.T. Ticketing information is available through Macklemore's website. General tickets go on sale on June 25th.
