'Moonshiners' star arrested for public intoxication

DANVILLE, Va. (AP) - A star of the TV show "Moonshiners" has been arrested for public intoxication.
Police in Danville announced Tuesday they had arrested Steven Ray Tickle - known on the show as "Tickle" - at a convenience store on Thursday.
Police say they received a report of a man sitting in the parking lot of Charley's Stop and Shop drinking, and they saw Tickle with an open container and smelling of alcohol.
The 35-year-old Tickle was released from the Danville City Jail later that day. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney. A spokesman for Discovery Channel, which airs the show, didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.
"Moonshiners" follows people making the illegal brew. The show's website describes Tickle as "a hard working still hand who loves moonshine."

That show is too scripted. It's almost like the Dukes of Hazzard. The law never catches the Dukes (moonshiners) or the show would be over.
I knew it was going to be Tickle with as many times as he has gotten behind the wheel on the show drunk  I am surprised he's not gotten a DUI yet.
What this show is fake?
No way! Next you will try to tell me wrestling is fake.
Go rock! Wrestlemania all the way baby!
This show is more fake than Pamela Anderson's boobs.
I think the only way this could be "news" would be if he was found not intoxicated.
Who didn't see that coming? LOL
Looks like he is almost stoned to death..
Humm Tickle, is there one named Shakey Jake too?
I've watched the show a few times and what I can't figure out is how people like Tickle go on the show...and don't end up arrested for what they are videotaped doing. It doesn't make sense.
That said - the price per gallon they get is pretty impressive. There is quite a demand out there for real uncut 'shine.Â
Its fake.
@The WA Mama yup. It has to be fake because they take "making shine" very seriously and if caught it's a federal offense. This is season 2 or 3??  His buddy he supposedly "Makes shine with" is a fire chief .  There's no way in hell this show could possibly be real.
All of these  'Drama" shows are a bunch of "Made for TV" crap anyways.
@NBA_Is_Useless Its a fake reality program no different than the rest of them. They're not actually distilling alcohol. Still a fun show to watch though. Amazing that we still have this unconstitutional prohibition in effect. Distilling alcohol is perfectly safe with just a little reading up on the subject. Had a couple of uncles that use to do it here from about 1920 to the 1950's. Its all they ever knew how to do.
So a guy on a show called Moonshiners got arrested for public intoxication. Who woulda thunk.
Surprised his short stint in jail didn't result in a seizure due to lack of alcohol.
And why would this surprise anybody?
Well la di da!
Who  cares?
