Sharon Osbourne in reality show battle with NBC

LOS ANGELES (AP) — NBC is defending itself against Sharon Osbourne's claim the network discriminated against her afflicted son in casting a new reality show.
The "America's Got Talent" judge told The New York Post that she's quitting the show because NBC fired Jack Osbourne by email two days before he was to co-star on the reality show "Stars Earn Stripes."
Sharon Osbourne told the Post that her 26-year-old son, recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, is a victim of discrimination.
In a statement Monday, NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt said the network "does not discriminate on any basis."
Greenblatt said all potential contestants had to undergo medical vetting, but cited medical privacy laws in declining to comment about Jack Osbourne specifically. Jack Osbourne was offered two alternative roles on the show that he declined, Greenblatt said.

Offered two other jobs on the show.. but since it was not the top spot they refused... then scream when they get fired.... yeah, if you got a worker not wanting to do the job you offer them to do then you get canned... even if your an Osbourne...
Ok I give up. Just what is Sharon's talent for judging anyone else's talent? She simply married Ozzy Osborn and had two kids. Was that talent or luck? Does that mean the wives of professional sports players excel in that sport too? Can I put Ichiro's, Michael Jordan's, or Tim Hasselbeck's wife on the field and they will excel? Gwyneth Paltrow is married to a Cold Play memeber, can she too have sold out concerts?
I've heard enough on & about this ding bat & her family. The whole family is Dysfunctional
I just had to add dose that sign behind her say go away?
Go back to England and sell your 'realiy' there!
Good lord, reality TV is the turd that just refuses to flush.
@Doxie what a great statement about reality TV! love it!
@Doxie thats funny , clinging to the rim of life
@Cindertang And leaving a big stain as it goes around and around!
@Doxie Thanks for the laugh, much appreciated and sadly your statement is utterly true.
@alexcrowley The only reality TV I have seen is on TLC.  I like What not to Wear, they actually help people. But I used to watch in morbid fascination the trainwreck known as Jon and Kate plus 8.  Mostly in the hope that they would film him punching her square in her ugly mouth for the way she treated him.  But then I saw it all as so exploitive and stopped.  I can't do it, it's all such contrived drama. It's everywhere - all over Europe and even Japan!  It's like a disease.
@alexcrowley You know, now that you say that, I guess I do watch a little.  I saw what you describe once and I absolutely love Undercover Boss.  I cry my eyeballs out at the end of each episode!  I guess I didn't consider it reality because it isn't sordid.  If you haven't seen it, you should check it.  CEOs (or equivalent) go undercover in their own companies to work at different jobs and they get their eyes opened. At the end, they reveal themselves usually reward people who they worked with (and effect changes that these people suggest).  But not WAste Management - they didn't give their employees a dang thing!  That one amazed me.  The other day, Taylor Made was giving people HUGE gifts/spiffs.Â
@Doxie There was a show I saw on vacation a few x's. Not certain of the name, but it was irresistibly fascinating in that they were millionaires, under the guise of being regular folk. They were put in positions in society where they were able to experience how the underprivileged lived. At the end of each show, the super affluent let their real identities be known & often donated $ to those less fortunate. It was often inspiring & positive how everyone was better and grew from the experience. I like shows like that! Also, the trashy bounty hunter - it was my road kill show - repelled yet compelled - I confess to watching dregs of humanity. But Beth's twin towers are a sight to behold. :^P
Why do they call them "Realty Shows" ?????  Pretty pathetic !
Sharon riding Ozzy's coat tails needs to get over herself and her talentless spawn.
@alexcrowley in all fairness she's like super rich for taking care of oz!
@Droid Ivan Granted her daddy managed Black Sabbath, and she's Ozzy's wife, uber successful music manager, muse, etc. but her kids are still without any shred of talent. Nor do they have mummy's savy for business. They are just known for being the crotch fruit of Oz and Sharon.
@jocko_homo  @Droid Ivan hmmmm... let me correct a typo for a word in one of my preceding posts. Meant to write SAVVY re: the spawn of Oz and Sharon.....
@alexcrowley  @Droid Ivan Alex that's horrible what you said but damm if you didn't make me laugh til my stomach hurt.
