Swine flu vaccine testing begins in Seattle

SEATTLE (AP) - Researchers at Group Health Cooperative in Seattle are starting to test an experimental swine flu vaccine.

The first volunteers will get the shot on Friday. The Seattle trial is one of eight in the United States and is designed to prepare for a possible fall 2009 resurgence of the H1N1 flu.

Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington are partnering with Group Health for the Seattle trials.

Adult volunteers are still being recruited.
