74 pounds of meth seized in Vancouver, Wash.

VANCOUVER, Wash. — A drug task force says officers seized 74 pounds of methamphetamine from a Vancouver apartment used as a safe house by a Mexican ring that brought the drug from California and distributed it in the Portland-Vancouver area.
The Clark County sheriff's office says it's the largest amount of meth seized in the county. The estimated street value is $932,400 based on a street price of $12,600 per pound.
Also seized in raids Monday night and early Tuesday were four guns, four vehicles and more than $45,000 in cash. Two men were arrested on drug or gun charges.
As part of the same investigation two men suspected of taking cash back to California were arrested in May with $120,000.
"This was a significant drug trafficking operation based in Clark County," said task force commander Mike Cooke. "This case is a great example of how a local drug task force can work a large case from beginning to end and make a significant impact on the local drug supply."
The Clark-Vancouver Regional Task Force says it was helped by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Portland Police HIT team.

I am new to this comment section so I want to check out the reasoning skills of the members.
This morning I had a libertarian fella ask where's the evil in "live and let live?"
The story above is one little tiny example of big government intrusion.
Â
No one I know of wants the police to have the right to knock on their door without a warrant but small government will always be of small help when you need a man with a gun.
Â
Â
@JAC In this case, the evil is in the addict robbing someone to pay for his next fix.Â
I would have enjoyed some photos of the gangsters. I always need new dartboard/archery target photos.
YaY!! Now we should decriminalize MJ so law enforcement can spend more time and resources going after the true menace!!!
Thank you, Pres. Obama, Atty General Holder and Homeland Security Director Napolitano, for keeping our nation's border safe. May you receive your just reward on November 6.
Great work law enforcement people! Got one group of serious dealers shut down. I'd call that a win!
Heisenberg!
 @ducati It's not Blue......
here you go obama you want to give them all immunity.....

WAKE UP AMERICA
There is going to be a lot of unhappy sleepy people around until a new supply is made in the next week or so... so stay out of their way. LOL
@alwayslast No kidding. They become very hostile during withdrawals. It's really a very sad and dangerous issue for so many families.
In other news, Heisenberg is totally pi$$ed
In other news, 3 illegals are being put up in state prison on the taxpayers' dime. We will run out of money before the cartels run out of drug mules.
That's a lot of teeth that won't be falling out finding this amount of rock. Nice work DEA, and all other agencies involved. Cooperation is a wonderful thing ain't it? :^)
Ahh, the perks of being a sanctuary state.
Where would somebody get the energy to stay up and make 74 pounds of meth?
Â
Ohhhh right..
