Amanda Knox memoir to be published in April

NEW YORK (AP) - Amanda Knox's upcoming memoir has a title, a cover design and a new publication date.
HarperCollins announced Wednesday that the book is titled "Waiting to be Heard." It will come out April 30, two months later than originally scheduled. The date was changed out of deference to the court in Italy that scheduled a March 25 hearing for the prosecution's appeal of the former exchange student's acquittal in the 2007 murder of her British roommate.
The 25-year-old Knox returned to her native Seattle, Wash., in 2011 after spending four years in a Perugia, Italy jail. Her ordeal made international headlines and her book deal, announced in February, was reportedly worth $4 million.
The cover features a close-up of an intense, unsmiling Knox. The picture was taken earlier this year.

When do we get a book about the kid that stole all the planes and boats?
Â
What's his name?
Â
Â
She is just as innocent as OJ Simpson.
If the glove don't fit, you must acquit.Â
This whole Amanda Knox fiasco should have people outraged about the media handling of the case. Why does everyone have so much respect for such scummy institutions?
I hear she will be a guest at the White House with all the other liars and cheater.Â
 @Tacobender50 Your mailbox must be just LOADED with invitations, then.
Maybe she will use some of her book deal money to help heal the family of Meredith Kercher. They will never have their daughter back.
Where is the proof that her family are deeply in debt? The Sollecitos have said that their total costs were about a million euros, which includes a top-tier lawyer (Bongiorno) whose hourly rate is 800 euros. One of Knox's lawyers is on record as having worked pro bono. The other we don't know, but it seems doubtful that Knox's total legal costs were more than half a million, since her team allowed Sollecito's defense to take the lead. We know that a supporter provided the family with airline tickets at 10% of face value, and that the family, or more likely their media benefactors, splurged on a first-class flight home to Seattle with a face value of over $100,000. We know that the media compensated the family for interviews with airline tickets and accomodations. We know that the family sold photos and did interviews with publications that are known to pay for stories. We know that during the same period that ABC News paid Casey Anthony $200,000 the networks were seeking the same sort of access to the Knox family. In short I wouldn't be surprised if the Knox family turned a PROFIT on their role in Meredith Kercher's murder even BEFORE this $4 million book deal. Embattled blogger Frank Sfarzo has written that Knox has put her ill-gotten gains into some kind of annuity to keep the Kerchers from getting their hands on it. Good luck with that. It's called a fraudulent conveyance.
@brmull 100,000 for a first class ticket? Even the final flights of the concordes were 1/10th that. Provide a source maybe?
 @bacon_pants I think brmull is a foreign national with an axe to grind, and is not even attempting either to make real sense or to be accurate. "br" may refer to "British" perhaps - there are still a fair number of Brits who have slogged their brains in the Mignini-Giobbi Koolaid - blaming Knox for the death of their countrywoman - and are unable to come to terms with their own credulity. This person has NEVER commented here on any other topic but Amanda Knox.
Before the acquittal last year, especially, there were a number of posters hittling every Amanda Knox story who were very clearly bilingual Italians. This could often be discerned by certain curious grammar especially related to word-order. Some of these posters were so determined in their spread of disinformation and prosecution "talking points" that I became pretty convinced that they were actually agents of Italian police or intelligence. Others were simply Italian nationals with a degree of special interest in the case - including one who was an engineer from Trieste.
 @brmull Let's see... you think she only paid half as much for attorneys as the Sollecitos? And of course you did factor in translator costs, airfare back and forth many times between Seattle and Rome (NOT all discounted) transportation costs between Rome and Perugia, hotel and meal costs in Rome and in Perugia, time lost from work and careers...
As for Frank Sfarzo, you must be getting your "information" (that is, demon-tales) from Peter Quennell: Sfarzo has NEVER made an actual statement such as the one you "report" - and in fact has reported on the terrible financial toll this case has wrought on the Knox-Mellas family.
Tell you what: if you think that the Knox family got such a great deal, go live in Perugia yourself to be near the "prosecutor" that I gather you so revere. It will make life more pleasant here not to have to see your stupid one-track remarks turn up in this case. (Although - to be quite sure and given that this is the ONLY subject you have ever posted on - it is just as likely that you already do live there... even perhaps that you are the psychopathic Mignini yourself!)
who cares
I'd love to hear about her taking a polygraph test!
But that's about it.
Â
Â
 @brewzbrothers Why? You would never accept the results anyway!
I never understood why people like to read books about other people life. I guess it won't be long until she has a reality show.Â
I can't wait to read it! I hope she makes a ton from it. I'd be willing to bet it's a fantastic book!
 @JanetS Drink some more Kool-aid.
 @Tacobender50 How can we? I seem to recall that you cornered the market and consumed it all!
 @Tacobender50 No, that's Twinkies at $150.00/box.
 @JLS1950 You can still find some at Walmart.
 @Tacobender50  @JanetS Say something original.
 @jowsuf  @JanetS You mean like.I can't wait to read it!
Brumpa - I Care! I hope she sells lots of books and makes lots of money to pay back her parents and grandmother for all the money they shelled out while she was imprisoned in Italy.
Let me be one of the first to say: "Who Cares!"
 @Grumpa Obviously YOU do, or you would not be posting here. Based on my best recollection of your posts from 14 months ago, I would guess your caring is that of a sore loser.
 @JLS1950 I can't help it JL, I see her name and as you know, train wreck pops up in my mind. I just can't help myself. This is the Knox circus and I am a sucker waiting for something to happen... will I have to wait long?
