Coast Guard rescues 2 from sinking boat off Wash.

QUEETS, Wash. (AP) - The Coast Guard has rescued two men from a sinking fishing boat off the northwest Washington coast.

The crew of the vessel Koprindo reported Friday that the boat was taking on water about 15 miles west of Queets. A Coast Guard helicopter lowered two pumps but they couldn't keep up with the incoming water.

The crew members were taken off the boat onto a Coast Guard motor lifeboat and taken to Grays Harbor.

Another Coast Guard boat stayed to mark the vessel's location and watch for signs of pollution. The Koprindo reportedly carried 400 to 500 gallons of diesel.
