Vandersloot subject of IRS, Labor Dept. audits
BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Idaho businessman and GOP donor Frank Vandersloot is the target of two federal audits - one by the Internal Revenue Service and the other by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Vandersloot is the CEO of Idaho Falls-based health care company Melaleuca Inc. and among donors who have given $1 million to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
In April, Vandersloot was targeted by President Obama's campaign as one of eight Romney donors with questionable records on various issues.
Vandersloot says the timing of the audits is curious and questionable.
The IRS audit is focusing on personal tax returns from 2008-09. Labor officials will examine the status of temporary foreign workers at his cattle ranch.
An IRS spokeswoman says federal laws prohibit discussing taxpayer information. Labor officials did not immediately respond Wednesday.

Gee Obama what happened top all that transparency you promised? We have yet to see any college grades, college writing's, it took you forever to give us a birth certificate which is still a bit questionable but hey it's not a big deal - if we challenge you you play the race card...or have us audited and it's very creepy to never know how far back you may choose look at records for a proverbial witch hunt..

Obama is a loser, and knows he will soon suffer the humiliating agony of a landslide defeat to Mitt Romney, the next President of The United States.
If The President would actually step so low as to do this to Mr Vandersloot, one would surnise that he would figure out a way to get Mitt's tax returns released. Since that isnt happening, and since I believe the President is an honest man, I see no Nixonesque conspiracy here. (But I'm happy Mr Vandersloot is getting his comeuppance)
I have some personal connections to Mr. Vandersloot. Â Without getting into particulars, this is NOT a nice man we're talking about here. Â I have very little respect for him on a personal level.

That aside, I have a big problem with a person being audited and harassed for their political beliefs. Â This is akin to putting a legal "hit" on Romney supporters. Â It's disgusting and I hope voters can see this "investigation" for what it really is.
Obama's gestapo... Â It would make Nixon proud since he's the only other POTUS to use an arm of fed gov't to "Punish" his enemies....
