1 killed as pickup smashes into motorhome, 4 boats at Pt. Roberts
POINT ROBERTS, Wash. - A pickup smashed through a fence and crashed into four boats and a motorhome in Point Roberts on Friday evening, killing the driver, the Washington State Patrol reported.
State troopers responded to the scene, at Marina Drive and Tyee Drive in Point Roberts, at about 5:40 p.m. after receiving a report of a serious crash.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name, age and hometown of the driver were withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A preliminary investigation found that the driver was heading south on Tyee Drive in a 2002 Chevy Avalanche when the pickup veered off the roadway at a curve.
The driver swerved to the left, then back to the right, then veered off the road, crashing through a fence before slamming into four boats and a motorhome at a marina.
No one else was reported to be hurt in the crash.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the deadly accident.

Thankfully the age of oil will be severely curtailed by the year 2050 and mostly over by the year 2100 so these diabolical insidious Internal Combustion Engine powered vehicles of mass destruction will become immobilized for good.
I always wonder about diabetic lows when these types of accidents are mentioned. I know it says it happened at a curve, so perhaps speeding. But swerving both ways, then veering off almost seems like someone trying to over correct.
