BREMERTON, Wash. -- A six-month-old baby was flown to an area hospital after being injured in a crash on Wednesday night.

State troopers said an SUV slammed into the back of the car the child was in at about 7:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of State Route 303 near Riddell Road..

Medics performed CPR on the 6-month-old boy, who was taken to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. Five other people were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The child, identified in a blog run by family members as Enzo Williams, suffered critical injuries.

The boy was in a child seat in the vehicle with his parents when they were hit, according the child's aunt, Melissa Lindell.

Lindell said Enzo suffered a fractured skull and is being treated for swelling on the brain.
