Voters line up to cast ballots at Bellevue City Hall.
BELLEVUE, Wash. -- A surge of last-minute voters has overwhelmed the three locations where King County residents can still cast ballots in person.

The county's Accessible Voting Centers in Tukwila, Bellevue and Seattle were reporting record numbers of voters and waits of up to three hours to cast a ballot.

At the voting center at Bellevue City Hall lines stretched through the hall and outside, and at Union Station in Seattle some voters gave up after seeing how long the wait was.

The three Accessible Voting Centers allow King County residents to vote if they want to cast a ballot at a polling place, have lost their mail in ballot, are casting a provisional ballot or are disabled and need assistance to vote.

By mid-afternoon hundreds of people had voted at the Union Station facility, a huge jump from the 80 people who voted there in the primary election.

King County elections officials said anyone who is in line at one of the three locations by 8 p.m. will be able to vote, but doors will be closed to newcomers at that time.

The county also said that it's voter hotline (206-296-VOTE), is also being inundated with calls and asked people to keep trying if they don't get through right away.

If you have already filled out your mail-in ballot it must be postmarked by today. You can also drop the ballot off by 8 p.m. at various locations throughout the county.
