SEATTLE -- Girls Scouts of Western Washington have issued a recall for the 10-ounce containers of cashews that were sold through a fall fundraiser after small pieces of loose metal were found in several cans.

There have been no reports of injuries or illnesses related to the recalled nuts.

The cashews, which were produced by Ashdon Farms, were part of a fundraiser offering nuts and candy products in Pierce, Lewis, Thurston, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Wahkiakum and Pacific counties.

Ashdon Farms has been a licensed vendor of Girl Scouts of the USA for more than 10 years.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled cashews can get a full refund or a replacement by calling Ashdon Farms at (800) 274-3666.
