Pregnant woman shot near Woodinville, 2 teens arrested
WOODINVILLE, Wash. -- A pregnant woman was shot in the shoulder while walking near her home near Woodinville on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the 16500 block of 188th Ave. NE at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Sgt. John Urquhart said the 30-year-old woman walking home from her bus stop at Avondale and 165th when she heard a bang then felt pain. She then realized she had been shot on the right shoulder.

The victim, who is 3 months pregnant, is believed to have been shot with a pellet gun or a .22-caliber weapon. She was taken to Overlake Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim told deputies where she was hit, and deputies found two teen boys, ages 16 and 15, inside the nearby home. After getting consent from the homeowner to search inside, deputies found a pellet rifle and extra pellets, Urquhart said. They also found possible stolen property taken in car prowls.

Both teens were arrested and booked into the Youth Center for investigation of felony assault.
