TACOMA, Wash. -- Police here are investigating the deaths of two people whose remains were found inside a home on Wednesday afternoon.

Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said the bodies were found by officers conducting a welfare check at a home in the 3900 block of N. 30th St.after one of the two people failed to report to work for several days.

According to the victim's co-workers, the house belonged to a registered nurse who most recently worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.

"To get this news today was just a shock, an absolute shock," said Cathy Russell, a co-worker of the homeowner.

Police have not released any details about how the man and woman died, but did say they're not looking for any suspects in the case.
