TACOMA, Wash. -- Police have arrested a cab driver accused of sexually assaulting a passenger in the back of his cab.

Mahamud Husseno was booked for investigation of second-degree rape in an incident that allegedly occurred early Saturday.

A young mother said she decided to take a cab home from the Jazzbones Nightclub in Tacoma. One cab driver agreed to take her to Lacey, a 25-minute ride, for a fare of $20.

"And the whole cab ride there he kept asking me if I was single, if I had any kids," she said.

The single mother of three said the trip took almost two hours with the driver claiming he was following directions given by his GPS device. When they finally arrived at the woman's home, the meter read $118, she said.

The woman offered all she had - $47- and after the driver took the money, he made an odd request.

"So he got out, came around the side, opened up the door and asked me for a hug," she said. "So I gave him just a little hug, and that's when he lifted me up and threw me into the back seat of the car.

"After he was done, he threw me a water bottle. Told me to drink it to make me feel better," she said.

Investigators said the victim's description provided a sketch of her attacker, and surveillance video taken outside the club helped police track down the cab company which, according to officials, was not licensed.

The cab company could not be reached for comment.

As for the victim, she says she wants others to be warned.

"I just want people to be safe when they take a cab," she said. "Don't go in alone."

Husseno is being held at the Thurston County Jail. He is expected in court for a bail hearing on Tuesday.
