ROY, Wash. -- An early Saturday morning crash in Roy sent nine people to the hospital.

Police say an SUV was driving on Highway 507 just after 1 a.m. when it crossed into oncoming traffic, causing a three car crash.

The driver of the SUV and four people inside were all taken to the hospital, as were two people in each of the other two cars. The extent of their injuries is not known due to hospital privacy laws.

Police say alcohol or drugs might be a factor in the crash.
