Police arrest woman twice in 5 hours for DUI
BOISE, Idaho - Boise Police say the same woman was arrested twice for DUI within five hours on Tuesday.

Police say Michelle Caves, 47, was first pulled over after employees of a retail store at Parkcenter Blvd and Apple St called police around 5:30 p.m.

The employees told police that Caves smelled of alcohol, and stumbled and dropped items while walking around the store.

They say they couldn't stop Caves from getting in her car and driving away, but were able to get the license plate number of her car.

Police found the car on E Highland Street soon after. The officer says as he was pulling the car over, he saw it almost hit a concrete barrier and drive off the road.

Police say Caves failed field sobriety tests, and her blood alcohol was about 4 times the legal limit.

She was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail, and her car was secured where she was pulled over.

Around 10 p.m. police got a call from a citizen reporting that a drunk driver had returned to her car and was going to drive home.

Officers determined it was the same woman they had arrested earlier, and located the car around the corner from where it had been originally pulled over.

Police say the car swerved into oncoming traffic and almost drove head-on into the officer's car.

Caves was pulled over again and was arrested for a second time showed her blood alcohol level still nearly three times the legal limit.

Her car was towed to a private, secure lot.
