3 students suffer minor injuries in Seattle school bus crash
SEATTLE -- Four people, including three elementary school students, suffered minor injuries in a crash involving a Seattle school bus Monday morning.
Seattle fire officials say the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta T-Boned a Seattle school bus just after 9 a.m. near the intersection of Beacon Avenue South and 38th Avenue South.
The bus was heading to Van Asselt Elementary School and was carrying nine students who are first, second, and third graders.
Three boys, aged 7 to 8, were taken by ambulance to Harborview to be checked out for minor injuries. The driver of the Jetta was taken to Swedish Hospital, also to be treated for minor injuries.
The other six students were placed on another bus and made it safely to school.
Police didn't say what caused the crash.
