SEATTLE - Police have arrested a suspect in the Monday morning attack on a woman who was jogging at Carkeek Park.

Jack Sun Keewatinawin, 19, was arrested Wednesday night following an interview with detectives, then booked into the King County jail for investigation of attempted rape.

Keewatinawin is being held without bail pending his appearance in King County Superior Court.

The victim of the attack told detectives she ran past a man sitting on a bench just before 8:30 a.m. Monday. She then passed him again about 15 minutes later on her way back.

That's when the man attacked her from behind and put her in a neck hold, according to investigators. The two began to struggle, but the woman was able to free herself from the man's grip and call 911.

The man had fled by the time officers arrived. The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
