2 survive after truck bursts into flames on I-5
TUMWATER, Wash. -- A couple survived a harrowing trip through Tumwater Sunday evening after their pickup truck burst into flames on I-5.
It was around 6:45 p.m. when the couple noticed smoke coming out through their cab's vents as they were just south of 93rd Avenue and immediately pulled over. They grabbed what they could and ran as the truck became engulfed in flames.
Troopers and firefighters arrived just four minutes after the fire broke out and were able to make sure the couple was safe and save the utility trailer they were towing.
No one was hurt, but the truck was completely destroyed.
