Woman fatally shot in Des Moines, gunmen at large
DES MOINES, Wash. -- Police have launched a homicide investigation after two people were shot, one fatally, early Saturday morning.

Witnesses told investigators a verbal argument broke out between two separate groups in the 800 block of Redondo Way S. around 2:40 a.m. The argument escalated until two men started passing around a gun and eventually opened fire into the victims' car.

Two victims, a 19-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were taken to Harborview Medical Center where the woman was later pronounced dead. The man sustained non-life threatening injuries. The name of the fatal victim has not been released.

Police are now looking for two cars in which the two gunmen were seen fleeing from the scene. The search is on for a black and chrome two-door Honda Civic made between 1990 and 1995. The vehicle is said to have tinted windows and a flat back.

Investigators are also looking for a primer-black two-door Honda Civic with black spoke rims, large chrome muffler and tinted windows, also made between 1990 and 1995.

Anyone with information on the case or the vehicles' whereabouts are urged to call police immediately.
