LACEY, Wash. -- More than a month after little Sky Metalwala vanished, volunteers are beginning a new search for the two-year-old Bellevue boy.

On Wednesday, members of the group Search and Seek made their way along I-5 handing out flyers in hopes of generating new leads in the search for Sky.

Jennifer Mau organized Wednesday's activities. While she didn't know the Metalwala family, she said Sky's case touched her and she knew she needed to help.

She said her plan is to cover all of I-5  from Seattle all the way down to Gresham, and then from Seattle to the Canadian border.

Mau said she can't imagine how it would feel to be Solomon Metalwala, Sky's father. She hopes her actions show that he is not alone.

"I wish I could take away the pain," she said. " I can't.  All i can do is give them a  hug and tell them we're here."

Solomon Metalwala hadn't met Mau until Wednesday, but he said her focus on finding Sky is evident.

"She's amazing," he said. "We just said, 'We're going to do this,' and here we are."

As members of Search and Seek continue to hand out their flyers this holiday season, they all have the same Christmas wish.

"I would love noting more for Christmas than to give Solomon his son," Mau said. "That would be amazing."
