4 boys expelled, 3 suspended after school bus assault
MARYSVILLE, Wash. -- Marysville School District officials said Friday that seven students are now suspected of being involved in a sexually-motivated assault that occurred on a school bus.

The district has expelled four of the boys, and three have been suspended for the remainder of the school year.

Police said the incident on March 1 targeted a 13-year-old girl.

"There are no injuries," said Marysville Police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux. "If she was touched at all it was very lightly, so she didn't suffer any physical injuries. She is mad, understandably, distraught about the situation and not happy that it happened to her."

School officials learned of the incident last week and said they turned over video from the bus security camera to police.

"We're all very alarmed by this incident," said Gail Miller, assistant superintendent for the Marysville School District. "We've been working this year particularly with our middle schools on issues of intimidation and bullying and harassment, so we're particularly saddened by this incident."
