Two men attacked in Capitol Hill neighborhood
SEATTLE - Two men are recovering in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood after a violent beating Sunday. Police say they were attacked by three men after the victims told them to slow down.

The police report says the attackers were seen driving erratically up East Howell Street with their tires squealing and the driver was passing cars by crossing into oncoming lanes of traffic.

The two victims spotted the car racing toward them.

"(They) put their hand up, yelled at the car to slow down, and that drew attention of the suspects," said Mark Jamieson with the Seattle Police Department.

Three men jumped out of the car, ran towards the victims, and attacked, police said.

One attacker grabbed a cane the victim used because of a broken toe.

"One or more of the suspects took the victim's cane and struck him with his cane," Jamieson said.

Witnesses jumped in to help while the attackers took off. The three remain at large.

The two victims suffered bruises and leg injuries but were expected to recover.
