Teen sentenced to life for killing parents
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A Spokane teenager convicted of killing his parents because they were kicking him out of their home has been sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole.
Spokane County Superior Court Judge Tari Eitzen handed down the sentence Thursday to 19-year-old Bryan Kim. He was convicted in January of two counts of aggravated first-degree murder for killing his parents at their Mount Spokane home in December 2006.
Richard Kim was fatally stabbed and Terri Kim was bludgeoned and strangled.
Bryan Kim also was convicted of second-degree possession of stolen property and second-degree theft for taking his father's bank card and transferring $1,000 from his parents' account to his the day after the murders.
