MERCER ISLAND, Wash. (AP) - Mercer Island police report that two teenagers have been arrested and booked into a juvenile detention facility on investigation of bomb threats.

Police spokeswoman Joy Johnston says they were a 15-year-old girl student at Mercer Island High School and a 16-year-old boy from Renton.

The arrests were made at about noon today after Mercer Island High School was closed yesterday after receiving a telephone bomb threat. The school was evacuated yesterday morning and the students were dismissed for the day.

The State Patrol Bomb Squad Unit searched the school, but did not find anything dangerous.
