Suspect arrested in deadly N. Seattle road rage shooting

SEATTLE - A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly road rage shooting at a North Seattle intersection last month.
Acting on a tip, homicide detectives arrested Dihn Bowman Friday morning. Police say Bowman lived less than a mile from where the shooting took place.
"There's the huge swat car and all the guys, you see the guns out and I'm, like, peeking through the blinds trying to see," said neighbor Anela Deisler.
Police believe Bowman gunned down Yancy Noll, 42, an avid outdoorsman and wine steward for the QFC grocery chain, following a road rage incident on Aug. 31.
Investigators say Noll was driving home from work that day when he stopped at NE 75th and 15th Avenue NE, facing north. A man driving south in a silver BMW Z-4 convertible pulled alongside Noll's car and opened fire, killing Noll.
The suspect then fled the scene southbound at a high rate of speed, running the red light at the intersection.
A surveillance camera captured the incident. Police earlier said the person who pulled up to Noll and fired was a well-dressed white or Asian man in his 20s or 30s with slicked-back dark hair. Investigators also said the suspect's car may have body damage and a broken passenger-side window.
Bowman has been booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.
Attorney John Henry Browne confirmed Friday evening that he is representing Bowman in the case. Bowman will make his first court appearance on Saturday.

Looks like he "turned his life around" from Big Shot BMW owner to prison sex slave . Yoo go dihn! Everybody proud of you!
@Seth Maartens You are contributing to this culture of non sense by rooting for prison rape. The problem is also with our culture, who allows easy access to guns.Â
@Mike You don't need a gun to kill somebody. Besides, our culture doesn't allow easy access to drugs and yet plenty of people still get their hands on them. Guns exist and if they're illegal, only violent thugs who do this on a regular basis will be the ones who can get them. STOP blaming it on guns. The power people seem to get from doing this like this is best matched with the powerlessness they feel from being violated in a place where there's nowhere to run.
m @Seth Maartens  @Mike my thoughts exactly. Punish the individual, not society.
The suspect only lives a few blocks from the incident location. The cops should have keyed in on him immediately with a vehicle registration check on silver Z4's. His Z4 was found with fresh paint, and a replaced window, evidinced by broken glass in the car. The suspect was a child prodigy, and is known to have anger management issues.  Â
@Heisenberg I believe his Z4 was kept in the parking garage at his home and surely there are other people in the city who own such vehicles who match the general description of this punk. But part of the reason it took 3 weeks to track him down is that his wife(and possibly his other relatives) was helping him evade the law. He STUPIDLY thought that taking the car out of state to PDX would fool people at the repair shop down there but it's pretty obvious that when someone with a car damaged by gunfire from a neighboring state comes to a local shop, they're obviously on the run from the law.
@Heisenberg If you look up his address in Google Maps, you can see different cars and a for sale sign post on the lawn. He must've moved there recently, and probably hasn't changed his vehicle registration yet. I assume.
Seems like this guy thought he was special and beyond the law. Can't believe it took this long.
Seattle Times has a good article on this "Dihn" guy.
Â
Â
Guess it's safe to say DINHher has been served!!!
Â
Bet he will be a hit in the clink. Â Hey guys come get your DINHher it's ready.
Bubba like Asians. Hope he enjoys being someones girl friend in prison. Now that would be true justice.
A big THUMB'S UP to the tipster on this one.
Senseless, hope we eventually learn why this guy did what he did. Â
Dinh is a Vietnamese' name.
@scychan Dinh Bowman is half white and half vietnamese.
@scychan His dad was a Boeing engineer, nationality unknown to me. His mom was a Vietnamese refugee back in 75.
 @Heisenberg  @scychan His Dad is White.Â
@scychan and it comes after breakfast and lunch.
Yancy noll was gunned down-period. That is murder and should be prosecuted as such. It does not matter if the shooter was Asian or any other race. It does not matter that they were in traffic at that moment. It does not matter if the shooter was "turning his life" around. A man used a deadly weapon to murder another human. What part of murder do you not understand? I expect the King County prosecuter to do his job and make sure this suspect is found guilty and fully sentenced to the maximum the law allows!
@Suspishissofu he turned his life around from BMW ownership to prison inmate...
@two loons  @Suspishissofu I wonder how his wife is going to feel when she learns that her husband is in a non-consenting homosexual relationship with his cellie?
Judging by the other article in today's paper, Bowman ought to be able to plead it down to manslaughter and serve 5 years, right?
@Willow I think this one will get filed as "aggravated", which should prevent a lenient sentence. This guy's goin down the big river.Â
What type of work did this Bowman do? Â Was he a drug dealer?
@HullenbeckCowl He is an engineer and entrepreneur.Â
@None a degreed Electrical Engineer, was a "child prodigy", having passed high level computer courses at the age of 13.
His name is Dihn. Hey Dinh, I SURE HOPE YOUR CELLMATE IS A GOOD SPORT ON YOUR BACKSIDE!
Reading the Seattle Times this morning, they do confirm the name of the suspect as identified below.
Â
I like the ST article comment where someone said "we're sick of the crime" so people are getting involved.
Â
I guess it depends on if you live north of I-90 or south.Â
Sick this greasy creep could even sleep. If found guilty, PLEASE fry his can.
I signed up to be an honorable KOMO commenter just for this. Been waiting for that ba***rd to be caught for weeks. Great stuff.
@banana3 Let's hear the whole story first. Who know what actually happenned before the shooting.Â
Why is it that John H. Brown attny. always beelines for these these sleazy suspects...? he always loses
Â
..and his garbage always ends up in the dump
@Pike's illusion He's a defense lawyer. Someone's got to do that job.
@Pike's illusion Court appointed. Don't think he has ambitions of freeing the guilty. It's flipping burgers in the "legal world".
 @Komo Dragon  @Pike's illusion
In 2006, Bowman was acquitted of burglary and first-degree theft after he was accused of stealing ski equipment from a downtown Seattle store, according to court records. John Henry Browne, who also represented Bowman in the 2006 case.
@Jordan  @Komo Dragon  @Pike's illusion Jordan, good find!
@Pike's illusion Then I have to say, I'm glad he's this guys lawyer. I hope Brown's losing streak continues.
@Pike's illusion He must have quite the advertisement in the "High Profile Criminals For Dummies" handbookÂ
John Henry Browne - the Gloria Allred of the PNW
And please, KOMO - tell the rest of the story by attempting to find out who (if anybody) helped him to repaint his car, replace the wheels, and replace the broken passenger glass, and what would likely happen to them if caught, and if the police are actively pursuing them.
Â
@DualLeads Bowman's wife confirmed that he had his car repaired in Portland because he feared that a local body shop would've been aware of the publicity surrounding the shooting and report him.Â
@LTT Well apparently the Portland repair shop folks got suspicious as the car has Washington license plate and is registered to his Seattle address. Pretty sure they picked up on the fact that he had been involved in a shooting here and suspected he might be trying to flee from the law and reported his narrow ass.
@LTT  @DualLeads His wife also left a post it note on the fridge that said, "to the best shot in the Wild West, bang bang." She's one cold bitch.Â

@DualLeads I'm willing to be that the person who helped him repair and repaint his car may have been the one who tipped off the police.
@DualLeads I have heard that this guy worked on his BMW a lot. Wouldn't be too hard to replace a window & such in my opinion. He probably fixed it himself in his garage? Just my two cents!Â
@DualLeads that would be interesting info.
I'm really glad this scum has been found! If in fact this is the right guy. I think about this senseless murder at times when I'm driving. I hope he has a very long prison stay...life would be great!
A big THANK YOU to the tipster and nice follow-up SPD. I'd guess that if it wasn't Mr. Noll this Bozo attacked it would have been someone else. My this perp never taste freedom again.
MAY this perp....

KOMO this new posting software without the ability to edit or delete your own post is lame.
