Murder charge filed in Seattle road-rage slaying

SEATTLE (AP) - King County prosecutors have filed a murder charge against a 29-year-old Seattle man accused of fatally shooting another man at a North Seattle intersection.
Charging documents filed Tuesday accuse Thomas Dinh Bowman of firing five shots, three of which struck 43-year-old Yancy Noll in the head. The two were stopped at a red light in North Seattle on Aug. 31.
Prosecutors say Bowman tried to conceal the crime by replacing the window and tires on his BMW. Staff at a tire shop where Bowman had his tires changed told investigators that Bowman and his wife insisted on taking the four old tires with them.
Documents also show police found a stash of guns in his home.
Bowman is being held at King County Jail without bail. His arraignment is set for Oct. 8.

The police found the note his wife left on their fridge..To The Fastest Gun In The West...Bang Bang !
Is she being charged as an accessory ? With the story being in the news I can't believe she didn't know and now I read she went with him to get new tires and collect the old ones. Her actions go beyond having to testify against her husband, she took an active roll in the cover up.
Dr. Bowman, I sure hope that anonymous tipster was you. And I sure hope the Bang! Bang! postit went on the fridge before August 31st or your bright and shining career and life have come to an abrupt halt. No one is above the law. Not clever little mad scientists or pretty dentists.
of course, it's first degree murder, plus he was trying to hide the evidences. Â the wife will be looking at some charges as well. Â she better start talking to the DA.
I don't think this guy looks any too proud of his "marksmanship" anymore! Seems like "self-control" has become something of a dirty word among certain folk today. "I don't need no 'self-control' - I got a GUN!"
@JLS1950 i agree.  his volatile personality + gun + his desire to shoot at the real person (i'm sure he had that desire...)  ruined not only his life but also his wife's (most likely...)
Well, at least he was charged with Murder 1, according to the WA Court website. That one is a very, very serious charge; most are charged with Murder 2 or less. Yes, I agree that his dentist wife, "Jennifer", should be charged as well as she was covering for her murdering husband from the start. Accessory to murder! We should all email the prosecutor's office & demand that she be charged as well. (Just go to the King Co. Pros. website & email them - they will see that it gets to the right person - the one(s) handling the case.) Have a great day!
@debayter50 First Degree would certainly seem appropriate if this is secondary to road rage: that makes it murder secondary to another crime, therefore with malice aforethought - a "well-formed" intent to harm before actually pointing the gun and pulling the trigger five times.
Was this guy a wannabe cop? Five rounds is standard cop training, I believe...
We'll have to see what comes out on the wife: does sound like she played "stand by your man" just a leeetle too long! Only question might be, where did the first "tip" come from?
"If" found guilty... HANG 'IM HIGH.

@CIAassassin ummmm...seriously???? all that training and still nothing betwixt the ears.....
Murder 1, not manslaughter. Â "death penalty"
@IFM Someone that just shoots and kills an innocent person just minding their business should be removed from the planet as soon as possible..
Yancy was a friend of mine. I wanted to give the family of the accused all benifit of a reasonable doubt. I am appaled to hear what was filed in court. The wife is just a guilty. Killing Dinh, It doesnt bring Yancy back. At some point, He will have to meet with his maker & answer for the crimes against the human race he commited. I think the death penalty in this case would be too good of punishment. Let him sit & rot in prison for 30 years & answer to our Lord & then get sentenced to a eternity in hell......that is where he is going......Death penalty is rewarding for him.....Take away his BMW, Mercedes, Lying Dishonest Dentist Trophy Wife, His lifestyle, Gunroom......All Freedom.......He cant adapt to that....Death Penalty is way to quick.......Missing Yancy...
Are they charging his wife as an accessory to murder? Sounds like she knew what was going on and should be charged. This was a completely and totally senseless act of violence. I hope they throw the book at this guy and find something to charge his wife with too.
AGREED !!!!Â
I am not usually a huge proponent of institutional death penalties, as they tend to put the occasional innocent person to death; the case has to be airtight with DNA evidence for me to agree.
Â
But in this guy's case I will give a huge exception.
@Audio Cat So even if "this guy" is innocent (granted that's not likely) you are okay with executing him?
Good! Now be sure not to let him plead to anything but just guilty. If you MUST make a plea deal to save time (and money on court costs etc), then let him plead guilty and only get him life in prison without parole.

@Seth Maartens I GET that people are hurting with the loss of Yancy, and I GET that people want the murderer to suffer. BUT, to wish that more crimes be committed is a little sick. I do wonder if that isn't why the theory of an ever burning hell is rather popular. The perp gets punishment, but gets it from, well GOD so no other crime is involved. (Btw, I don't subscribe to that theory.)
@Commenter87643 I think it would've been better for those who loved Yancy as well as for us all if this guy had been shot and killed by police at his home. That would send a very clear message to people who pack heat in their cars that if they ever use their weapons in anything other than defense of their own life, they will meet certain death. What I think should happen is that an example should be made out of Bowman that really terrifies people who might have the inclination to do this. Because force is the only think such persons can understand.
pbs7mm - I could not agree more....except to say I beleive our state lets the self absorbed punks choose either lethal injection or hanging...
@wd Yes, it does. And then the self-absorbed POS punks whine that giving them the choice of how we'll erase them â  that we do only because some POS defense attorney demanded it for them â is now cruel and unusual punishment.
Please prosecution, have enough courage to demand the death penalty.  Quickly to send a message to other self absorbed punks. Waiting 15 years is meaningless. Fry his jack wagon can.
@pbs7mm What's a "jack wagon can"?
@Koawoodplayer  @pbs7mm http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jackwagon  I think can refers to his ass.
Good!
