PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) - A man who shot himself with a concrete nail gun after being stopped by a state trooper near Silverdale is out of the hospital and under arrest.

According to the State Patrol, 23-year-old Lance Earl Dillon of Bremerton planned to get his car out of an impound lot once he was released from Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Instead, he was arrested Friday on old warrants and for investigation of impaired driving, hit-and-run and possession of methamphetamine.

As of midday Tuesday he remained in jail with bail set at $20,000.

Dillon was hospitalized May 1 after shooting himself with a gun equipped with 6-inch nails. He had just been stopped by a trooper in a hit-and-run investigation on State Route 3. A washer kept the nail from hitting his heart.
