19-year-old man shot and killed in Seattle's Central District

SEATTLE -- A 19-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday evening in Seattle's Central District, and police are still searching for the shooter.

Officers responded to a call of "shots fired" Thursday at 6:45 p.m. near 28th Avenue South and South Lane Street. When they arrived, they found a 19-year-old man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Police and medics performed CPR on the victim, but he died at the scene.

Police have not released a description of the shooter or a possible motive for the killing. Homicide and gang detectives are investigating.
