Man watches as 'one-legged' thief steals his truckBy Kitsap Sun
BREMERTON - As a man repaired a roof Saturday morning, he watched as a "wheelchair-bound, one-legged man" stole his truck.
Bremerton police were called to the work site on the 2300 block of Wheaton Way at about 7:38 a.m. after the 46-year-old man reported the theft, police reports said. Police talked with security guards at Harrison Medical Center, who identified the suspect as a 51-year-old Bremerton man who had just left he hospital. The victim said he was working on the roof of a friend's house when he watched the man approach in a wheelchair, "hobble" into the 1983 Ford Bronco and drive away, reports said.
