Coast Guard rescues injured hiker on Olympic Peninsula
SEATTLE - The Coast Guard rescued an injured hiker Saturday on Scott's Bluff near Quillayute River on the Olympic Peninsula.
The Coast Guard Air Station at Port Angeles received a report of an injured man at about 12:47 p.m. and sent an MH-65 helicopter crew to the scene.
The helicopter crew found the hiker and hoisted him to safety.
The man fell while hiking and injured his knee on Scott's Bluff about six miles south of the Quillayute River.
He was taken to the Forks Hospital.
