2 shot overnight in Parkland restaurant parking lot

PARKLAND, Wash. - Pierce County sheriff's deputies are investigating an overnight shooting in a restaurant parking lot that sent two people to the hospital.
Witnesses say a black sports car drove into the Denny's parking lot at 10802 Pacific Avenue South in Parkland at about 1 a.m. Friday. Then someone inside the car opened fire at two people outside.
"It wasn't one gun on top of each other - ba-bang, ba-bang - real quick," said witness Jesse Bucasas. He said the car then sped off down Pacific Avenue South.
Deputies and medics quickly responded to the scene after someone called 911.
Officials say one victim was shot in the torso and the other in the leg. There is no word on their condition, but deputies say they were responsive on the way to the hospital.
Investigators have not released any suspect information.

Too bad that used to be a nice area. When you get that 47% in the area this is what you get.
We call it crack-ho Denny's.
Something was bound to happen at that Denny's sooner or later. It is directly across the street from Fox's Strip Club, right around a few bars, and the freeway entrance is right next to that Denny's parking lot. Easy getaway.
Such a lovely part of the great wild northwest....

They always find one of the clowns at a "scene". LOL
Nice summary.
This is disturbing, while that area of Parkland is rough at certain times of the day, it usually is pretty quiet here.
It's not like it's Belltown or Pioneer Square.
Parkland: the crack and welfare capitol of WA state.
@Headwrench That's rude, I live in Parkland, and that is just not true of Parkland as a whole - there are very nice neighborhoods here!
@luna98444 @Headwrench i lived on 96th and fawcett for years, parkland is a scary place sometimes
@mountainman Not to mention all the prostitutes in the area now, even in broad daylight. Hate driving my son through that area anymore.
@luna98444 @Headwrench I also live in Parkland (on the edge) and it is slowly getting over run with violence and drugs. My neighborhood is a really nice neighborhood but 5 blocks down the road is a different story. Been thinking a lot here lately that I probably should move and retreat farther out in the country away from this nonsense.
Pacific Avenue South in Parkland is a very bad bad area. Normal people can not feel safe there.
@Harrison Agreed. I recently had the misfortune of visiting that area and am glad that I won't need to do so again for at least a year!
2 4 6 or 8 bullets.
Now that's what I call a "Grand Slam"
