2 teens arrested in Lacey drive-by shooting
LACEY, Wash. -- Two teens have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in Lacey.
The incident occurred in the 7800 block of Samurai Dr. SE just before 5 p.m. Thursday. Six to eight shots were fired, and a 15-year-old boy was hit in the leg, according to investigators. The victim was taken to St. Peter Hospital.
Friday, Lacey police said they have taken an 18-year-old, believed to be the shooter, and a 16-year-old driver into custody.
Police say they will release more details later Friday.

To curb gun crime enforce the laws on the books. These kids at 16 will only know a life of crime. Look at the kids that beat the Tuba man to death. I am sure they have been rehabilitated  and are productive members of society.
We need sheriff JOE from Arizona, live in tents,balona sandwiches pink underware, pink sheets and chain gang for all and 2 cable channels(weather channel to tell how cold its going too be and Disney) not a resort like we have now they use a gun and its 2 or 3 times as long. NO WERE TOO LIBRAL it wont happen.
They should BOTH be charged as adults (even the 16 year old) and should spend some serious time behind bars if found guilty. Kids are nothing but punks these days.

I want to know what kind of gun was used so we can all sit around and rant and rave about it.
Maybe we should hurry up and pass that really stern law against "kids" carrying guns so we can just slap their hands lightly and let them out to do this crap again.....
Good gosh, "Just My Say', that's a pretty naive outlook you have there! I second the post that says "TUBA MAN'....the kid that killed him was recently indicted for murder AGAIN....yet he is still just an 'innocent' kid?!? Bottom line is that these two teen thugs DO need to do some serious prison time. Now if there is an actual rehabilitaion program they can go through while in prison, great!.....but they still better not see the light of day for at least 5 years.
What some people don't understand is that being a badass and not liking authority is glorified now a days so as long as that continues these types of things are going to happen.

Look at all of you, going off on kids. Guess what- It totally suck that they did this, and it sucks that they have to start their life out as criminals. You all can sit around and point fingers and want the kids dead (which we all know nothing will happen) or you can take a stand and help these kids have a better tomorrow. I know what I am doing and have always done, and I will guess that you will just sit here, talk about having them hung, and do nothing else. If you all think that your good parents and your kids are the best, I am pretty sure that you would be able to teach these kids, or the parents a few things. Learn how to care people.Â

@Just my say With a lot of kids I hate to say it but sometimes I wonder if they just come out of the womb screwed up!! We have tried tons of programs over and over again and they do nothing except for waste our money. For gods sake my 8 year old knows what's different between right and wrong. There is a show on tv called scared straight and that has a higher success rate than any other program I have seen. Just because they are tough on these kids doesn't mean they don't care but if you seriously think that by sitting there and saying ohhh poor Johnny had a rough upbringing so he just needs a hug I hate to tell you that poor Johnny is sitting back with his friends laughing at you.

 @Bianca @Mr. H @dylandawgie @tkyed  As it was mention that these kids may not have a father or a mother. (maybe not either) Everyone seems to know someone who is dealing with kids without one or both parents. Why not help these kids and be friend them. (you can find them at your child's school, boys and girls club, in your own neighborhood, family, etc) Take them fishing, just spend one day with them to make them know that they are important. They have to feel like crap when they are a child and their mom and/or dad walk out on them. If someone who is straight and narrow comes into their life before the ones full of hate and wants to hurt everyone, because they are hurting. Can make a huge difference. The prison parents are a different story. Those kids know that their mom or dad is here but in prison. They are still hurting. Back home we use to have the inmates send us request forms and we would buy the kids Christmas gifts from the parents. We would let the child know that their parents loves them. I was shock when I found out that the kids we did that for, were doing better than the kids that we didn't do it for. (They just needed to feel loved). As of saying I want these kids dead or hung is so wrong on so many levels. Guess what, kids screw up, some a hell of allot worse then most. Do I think they need to sit in jail for months or years, NO. Do I think we need to give them classes to help improve their thinking, NO. I think and it does not matter who or what child it is. When it come to a child that is going to do some time,  that child needs to lose everything (phone calls, visits, t.v. whatever the jail offers) for three months. That child will be place into a cell by him/herself for that time. The child needs to miss what he/she will lose. After the three months, the child will be place on a no time sentence. Meaning the child will have to learn respect, responsibility, and everything else. While he is learning these things, he/she will be awarded with little things, like a phone call or visit. It would be decided among the counselors, guards, and staff of the jail how they feel that child is doing to let them out.Â
As for the tuba man, well do something about the future of the kids and maybe there won't be another killing like that. Don't like that answer, don't use someones death, when your unwilling to make a change. I have no respect for that.Â
As for poor Johnny laughing, at least I have his attention, and maybe he will be able to open his eyes to the fact that not everyone thinks he is trash.Â
@Just my say So, how would you rehabilitate them? First, you have to lock them up, then reprogram them..Â
Unfortunately, our prisons, aren't harsh enough to make them not want to go back.. Not to mention, I am sure it was either gang related or drug related...
and by that age, you know right from wrong.. otherwise they would have just stayed there.. instead of leaving the scene..
Put them away for a minimum of 5 years for the accomplish, and then 10 years for the trigger puller for assault, and (if it was a handgun) another 5 for illegal possession of a handgun..

@Just my say This first thing I'd teach them is birth control as that's the crux of the problem right there. Most of these kids have no father to look up to because they are either dead, in prison, or off jack rabbiting another woman so they can create more kids with nobody to look up to. If you get mixed up in criminal activity, then you and any kids you have need to be snipped so you can no longer procreate...end this vicious cycle before it destroys this country.

Tie a noose around their necks and be done with it.
Charge them as adults and lock them up for a long long time. There is no room in society for worthless trash like them. While at it, take a good long look at the parents since they are the ones that brought these losers into the world and taught them "morals".....
