2-year term for Ferndale driver who punched jogger
BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - A driver who broke a jogger's jaw in a road rage confrontation at Ferndale was sentenced Thursday to more than two years in prison for assault.
The Bellingham Herald reports it happened last July after the jogger made a rude gesture at a car.
The driver, 30-year-old Gavin J. Haggith of Ferndale, stopped and punched the jogger in full view of neighbors.
Haggith faces more charges in Bellingham. He's accused of taking tools from a construction site and rioting while held in the Whatcom County Jail.

While it is good this guy is going to be locked up for a short time, the jogger is playing with fire. This is how you get hurt a hell of a lot worse than he did.
Goodbye! Â
Sounds like prison is a good place for him. What a loser.
The jogger is luck it was only a punch. What if the douche bag had a gun?

Man, I'm surprised they could give a sentence like that for a crime of the sort. Heard too many examples or harsher crimes that got lighter sentences than this.
And the UW Frat Prez got a slap on the wrist and 15 days of community service for raping a woman he drugged.
meanwhile, the a-hole who put his dog in the oven only gets 30 days...the injustice is appalling.
Sounds like prison is the proper place for this hot head/thief.
I'm sure he will meet his match in prison. Let Thunderdome begin.
 @mstipton LOL!
Great guy, have fun in jail. Enjoy your colon checks.
