VANCOUVER, Wash. - A man is listed in stable condition at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver after being shot by police.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office says the man was shot early Saturday after attempting to run over officers in his car.

Vancouver police say they responded to a disturbance in the 20700 block of SE Evergreen Highway around 2:20 a.m. and a chase began when the man did not respond to patrol car lights.

The vehicle eventually stopped and a confrontation ensued.

Officers from Camas police, Vancouver police, Clark County Sheriff's Office and the Washington State Patrol were involved.

The name of the man has not been released.
