TOPPENISH, Wash. (AP) - Toppenish police say they're looking for a gang member following the fatal shooting of a member of the same gang.

Police say 24-year-old Alejandro Salas of Toppenish was shot multiple times in an altercation about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say Salas was at a friend's house when another man arrived who is affiliated with the same gang as Salas. Police say the reason for the altercation between the two men is unknown.

Witnesses found Salas shot and lying in the street. Police say Salas was taken by a vehicle to a hospital, where he died.

Police say the gang member who fatally shot Salas is at large.
