2 dead as motorcycles collide in Tacoma
TACOMA - Two men have died in a collision between their speeding motorcycles Saturday afternoon in Tacoma.
Police Officer Andrew Hankins Jr. said a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were heading east on motorcycles on East 56th Street at about 4:30 p.m.
The two crashed at a high rate of speed at East B Street, Hankins said.
The wreck shut down East 56th Street between East B and East E streets for several hours while police investigated the accident.
Hankins says it's not clear whether the motorcyclists were racing.
