LAKEWOOD, Wash. (AP) - Lakewood police want to find other people who may have been stopped by a DuPont man who claimed to be an officer.

The man was arrested Wednesday and accused of impersonating an officer in June by blocking a car parked in a handicapped spot.

Police say the man had a gun, handcuffs, badges. His pickup is equipped with flashing lights, police scanner and public address system.

A spokeswoman, Lt. Heidi Hoffman, says investigators are concerned he may have been making traffic stops and taking other police action.

She says the man has no ties to law enforcement but had contacted some agencies and offered his services as a K-9 officer.
