Motorcyclist killed after hitting deer near Sprague

SPRAGUE, Wash. (AP) - A motorcyclist from Puyallup has died after colliding with a deer east of Sprague.

According to the Washington State Patrol, 54-year-old Gary A. Aslakson was on a 1984 Honda VF1100 when he hit the deer Friday night on Williams Lake Road.

Troopers wrote that Aslakson was thrown from the motorcycle, his head hit the road and his helmet came off.

The crash occurred about seven miles east of Sprague in the southeast corner of Lincoln County.
