2nd suspect booked in murder of 82-year-old sex offender

MARYSVILLE, Wash. -- The Marysville Police Department has booked a second suspect in connection with last month's murder of an 82-year-old sex offender in a Marysville trailer park.
According to police, the 26-year-old Marysville man, who was already in Snohomish County Jail for an unrelated charge, helped a woman stab Arthur Schroeder to death Jan. 22.
The man has now been booked for investigation of murder, robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
The 28-year-old woman, who knew Schroeder through his grandson, was also already in Snohomish County Jail on an unrelated charge. She was booked in connection with the murder on Sunday.
Schroeder's grandson found him dead of stab wounds, his trailer ransacked and his truck stolen last month. His truck was later found on fire.
According to police, Community Transit surveillance footage shows the two suspects getting off the bus outside Schroeder's trailer park on the afternoon of the murder.
Afterward the suspects, wearing bloody clothes and holding a bag of bloody knives, drove to the man's home and told multiple people they stabbed and murdered an old man, according to the police.
Police are still looking for others who drove the suspects around and burned the victim's truck.
yeah, sure, we don't want a society full of vigilantes, but its tough to get too teary eyed over this story.....

@BravesPackersCougzSounders Yeah, they sound like real heroes, I hope the next person they decide to murder isn't someone who just has the bad luck to own something they want.
This is the second or third story I read today where the suspect was already jailed on another unrelated offense. Seems there is something to the "career criminal" idea.
I am wondering what the need to advertise that he was a sex offender was. It seems from the article that it had nothing to do with the circumsances of his murder. I guess it just makes a better headline.
@Surveyor1 His head stone should say "SEX OFFENDER".
@Surveyor1 Because sex offender's deserve this type of treatment. Thanks for the favor, guys!Â
@Surveyor1 People thrive off hate and KOMO likes to give it to them.Â
@Just my say @Surveyor1      I wonder how the victims of this old man feel right now? They have to live with the pain of what he did to them for the rest of their lives. It is tough to feel sorry for this old man.Â
@whatalife1 So you need to use stuff that happen in others life to justify your hate? If I was his victim, I sure would not want to be reminded of him everyday through news, and I sure would not want to hear how much hate strangers had for something that happen to me. The last thing I would want, is to know that I am doing OK and my life is going great. For strangers to once again show me hate, and I question myself on how I should be feeling. Hey with the way this hate is with everyone, his victim may have been in the news and everyone was saying die, kill it, and so on and so forth. Everyone hate just continues to go on and on to each person that made the news. It may have nothing to do with you but you want a piece of this drama. I know nothing about this victim(s) to even state how they would feel, or to even assume how they would feel. If I was to meet one of them, I would listen to them, but would not allow hate into my heart due to a situation that they have to deal with. I'm sure the victim(s) needs a friend, not a angry mob.Â
How else are they going to pay for their meth?Â
