3 teens charged as adults in Halloween robberies

TACOMA, Wash. -- Three teens who police say were among a group that robbed children and adults in several holdups on Halloween in Tacoma will be charged as adults, Pierce County prosecutor Mark Lindquist said Monday.
Zyion Houston-Sconiers, 17, Treson Roberts, 16, and Amancio Tolbert, 16, have been charged with first degree robbery and conspiracy, Lindquist said.
"Three of these defendants are charged as adults because of their age and seriousness of the crimes," Lindquist said.
Two others accused in the robbery, aged 13 and 15, were charged with the same crimes but as juveniles.
Police said the muggers took wallets, back packs and cell phones when they confronted parents and children between 8 p.m and 9:30 p.m. Halloween night. An 11-year-old victim also had a bag of candy taken from him, but Tacoma police Lt. Gerry Lerum said the thieves were "just taking anything that the victims surrendered."
One of the robbers was armed with a loaded .22-caliber handgun, Lerum said.
A police dog tracked them to a car near the intersection of S. 15th and S. Sprague Ave. where officers arrested the suspects. Police also recovered the stolen items and seized the masks and a gun used in the robberies.
All five charged Monday were expected to make their first court appearance Monday afternoon.

Restitution will be waived, court costs dropped and they will spend about 24-36 months in jail, at the most. The judicial system it broken and skewed to the criminal. Notice I didn't say the "Justice System".  The Police did their job, its judges who drop the ball.They will soon be out terrorizing and robbing Tacoma citizens again real soon.Hopefully, in their culture they will end up killing each other and not innocent 11 year olds out trick-or-treating.Â
Way to keep the stereotype alive and well!
Zyion, Treson and Amancio
I noticed that the fancier the name is, bigger thugs the kid is turning out to be.
 @Larry*X*K There's actually a study done on that, and according to the study, you are correct. I'll try to find it, it is amusing and interesting.
No need to get excited thinking the nanny state is putting on the big boy shoes, these lil gangbangers will be out in a few weeks...
Well, the barbarians are within the walls of civilization....
Â
NOW WHAT?
Profiling works. Â http://www.thenewstribune.com/2012/11/05/2356355/five-teens-charged-with-robbing.html
 @heavyweather It will be interesting to see if their "sentences" will be more punitive than the wrist-slaps meted out to Tuba Man's MURDERERS...
@heavyweather Looks like he has somewhat of an attitude. PUNK!!!!
 @2ndstartothenorth Hey! Both NAMES and PHOTOS of the "suspects"... posted in a major news outlet... and civilization didn't come to an end!Â
Â
SHOCKING.
 @2ndstartothenorth  @heavyweather Don't pre-judge!  You can't judge a book by its cover!  [/sarcasm]
Whatever happend to names like Bill, or Mike, or Jim???
 @nutz2u To dull for thugs and gangbangers..
 @nutz2u Too white.
Oops. There. I said it.
I better disappear before the PC Police show up.
 @nutz2u Well, let's see here: Eric was the name of one of the Columbine shooters; James was the name of the Colorado theater shooter; and, Jared was the name of the Arizona shooter. Â
Â
You got to try a lot harder to stereotype nutz2u. Â Hmm, I wonder what is your name? Â I bet I could find thousands thugs with your name.
 @31F  @nutz2u And a thousand or more good kids who wear their pants too low, too tight, or too whatever for any old fogey's taste.
 @two loons  @31F  @nutz2u if it walks like a thug, talks like a thug, behaves like a thug... then I guess they will get treated like thugs. They need to remember: You will hang, with those you hang with.
 @31F  @nutz2u the kids in this story need jail time and some positive intervention. Hope they get both.
@nutz2u They went out the window along with proper fitting pants, two-parent households (male and a female, that is), and watching cartoons after school...Â
So, How long of a jail term are we looking at???

 @n9078jk4 I'm guessing 2-3 years for the ringleader, probation for the rest.  ...and they only get to keep half of the candy they stole...
@n9078jk4 Txs!!! Let's hope it's a long one..Hope this sends out a message to these momma's to start raising MEN and not thugs.
 @n9078jk4  @2ndstartothenorth I like that.
 @2ndstartothenorth Hmmm...interesting that you hold their mom's responsible. Or to be accurate "these momma's" which sort of implies that you mean single moms. Is it that you assume there is no dad involved, or that you absolve him of any responsibility - or both?
Without blaming anyone but these kids (since I have no idea who is or isn't in their lives, nor how hard they tried or didn't try to raise them- it would be only speculation) I believe they need jail time because what they did is very serious. It would also be nice if there were an opportunity for them to turn their lives around while serving their sentences.
@n9078jk4 Wow!!!! Hope they all do this..Parents that let their kids have such a long rap sheet at such a young age are just as guilty.Txs for the info!! Lets hope the victims know this and are reading the comments.
I wonder how many people they approached ignored them at first. Imagine the scenario........kids walk up to parents and kids trick or treating and say give me your wallets and candy........Husband looks at masked kids and says to his wife "check these guys out not only are the dressed the part they are acting like thugs.....too funny"Â Â Â Â Â Â Seconds later they get that sick feeling and realize they are getting robbed."Â Â Â Â Â Â I don't care if these kids are purple, disabled, or suffering a life threatening disease........they are a danger to the community and need to be treated as such. Jail time!
 @lakeunion The scenario needs to take a turn. Right at the point where they display a gun. that moment calls for some much needed mineral supplement to be given them via express delivery.
Â
Welcome to the land of consequences newbie little know it alls. Life is not one big living hip hop fantasy after all.Â
I don't know if Zyion, Treson, and Amancio are black and it really doesn't matter. What matters is these three punks are savages and should be put in cages before they kill someone.
Too funny, Joe - I know LOTS of guys with those names....just kidding....

Obviously didn't have a prosecutor the likes and fortitude of Mark Lindquist, who doesn't put up with this crap - I don't care WHAT race you are - he doesn't.....

 @n9078jk4 WA Courts website doesn't tell you what everything is. When I look up my name 14 different things pop up but I've only had 1 misdemeanor charge.
 @SolntsevskayaBratva Why'd you delete your earlier post?  Did you embarrass yourself with all that nonsense?
 @SolntsevskayaBratva Keep your head in the sand...
armed robbers at the young age of 16...
Doesn't anyone name their kids Mark, Bob or Sally anymore?
@aprilday One stroll through the I-Tunes catalog....."...That's it!...."
Hey man what the BIG DEAL! I watched'em do it on TV last night.
Â
It's cool they got away with it. If they can do it on TV we can do it too right?
Â
Lets go watch some more violence, murder, bank robbin, and fornication on TV to night. O.K.
Â
Maybe go play a murder video game or listen to some real good rap with murder and hatred in it for lyrics huh?
Â
Their being programed, it's in the MIND
Â
And we wonder why this country is soooo corrupt and wicked.
Â
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
 @Mark Do write a young adult novel sometime soon, because you have such a gift for dialogue and knowing what the hip happening kids say...
Â
All kinds of kids watch movies, play video games and listen to rap, without ever committing a crime or being unkind to people for the fun of it. You remind me of the people who wanted to ban the Beatles and Boycott Three's Company when I was a kid. That's not the solution. Get involved in their lives if you wish to see change.
Good to see "JUSTICE" taking place. Keep it up!
Sounds reasonable. Once they get to prison, the cons will find out what they did. Most of them don't like punks who prey on children. The cons may hand out their own brand of justice.....
 @Veteran
To the tune of Don't Rock the Boat
Â
Don't drop the soap
Don't drop the soap, baby.
Don't drop the soap
Dontcha bend over...
 @Veteran That isn't going to happen. As long as you don't hurt/kill/rape children you're fine. They didn't do any of those.
Love how Lindquist gets down to business - absolutely no effin' around. I love it! Guy's a friekin' hero in my book...
KING County - taking notes, Dan Satterberg???????
Fantastic, I'm glad they were charged as adults, I just hope they have learned a lesson but I know that's probably not the case.
It's a good start... however I have a feeling the ultimate consequences will be minor. Considering a few if not all of these punks already have an established record with law enforcement. My solution for situations like this are: crimes committed with a gun = gone for a long time. However, this stinkin' State is too Liberal when it comes to crime.
 @d_2 All three of the named ones have multiple charges in the state of Washington dating back to as early as January 2009 for Mr. Tolbert, who would have been probably 12 or 13 at the time. I, like you, have the feeling that this is not the last the criminal justice system has seen of these miscreants.
This is the treat for their trick.
 @swansong68 lol, I laughed and snorted a little!
What a way to start a criminal career, ruin your life really. Pretty sad.

 @Sydthepiper  @Komo Dragon Stop making racist comments. It makes everyone hate white people.
 @greenecho  @SolntsevskayaBratva  @Sydthepiper  @Komo Dragon pretty sure I'd feel the same about it no matter what color the person with the gun was
 @SolntsevskayaBratva Too late for that.
 @SolntsevskayaBratva  @Sydthepiper  @Komo Dragon Oh Puleeze.. How would you feel if your child was staring at the end of a pistol held by a black person with an extensive criminal history?
Â
And stop with the racist (they're such a victim) card. It's 2012, get over it.
