YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - Viewers of the "Dirty Jobs" show on the Discovery Channel have watched host Mike Rowe trying many strange and grimy occupations. He's mucked out filth, cleaned slimy fish and castrated horses.

Last summer he was in the Yakima Valley picking hops.

The Yakima Herald Republic reports he spent two days near Moxee picking hops, making bales and working in kilns with the beer flavoring.

The hop episode of "Dirty Jobs" is scheduled to show Wednesday night with repeats Thursday and Friday on the Discovery Channel.
