SEATTLE -- Friends and family members of a beloved murder victim gathered on Tuesday to remember and to send a message to their loved one's killer.

Noemi Lopez was found dead in her home by her three children when they returned home from church on Sunday. Her ex-husband Jose Angel Blanco, whom she divorced in 2006, is suspected of stabbing her more than 60 times. He remains at large.

There was still so much pain, so many tears a mere two days after the horrible crime for those who gathered on Tuesday.

Those who knew Lopez, who was only 31, came to remember her. They described her as a sweet woman who cared for her children, and who tried desperately to distance herself from her violent ex-husband.

One of Blanco's own teenage daughters, angry and defiant, spoke out against him.

"I hope they catch my dad because I know he did it," said Karina Blanco. "Papi, if you're hearing this, I swear to God, I'm going to kick your ass. I'm not afraid of you no more."

With one mother gone, two mothers are left grieving. The victim's mother hugged the mother of the suspect as they both waited for the same thing -- for Blanco to turn himself in, wherever he is.

"If you really have something in your heart, please walk to the police department. And walk for your daughters. Walk for this family. Walk for your mom and your sisters," Maria Castilla, the family's pastor, said into the news camera on Tuesday.

"The chill and the discomfort we feel right now pales in comparison to what our friend and neighbor experienced here two nights ago," said neighbor Amber Campbell.

According to court documents, Noemi's 15-year-old daughter saw Blanco and her mother arguing in the house before she left for church with her siblings.

A few hours later, she received a text message from Blanco telling her not to go into the house with the other children and that he was sorry for what he'd done, the documents said.

Investigators say Blanco then called his cousin and said he'd just killed his ex-wife.

A warrant has been issued for Blanco's arrest, and King County prosecutors have charged him with first-degree murder.

Detectives believe Blanco is now driving a silver 2004 Suzuki Verona with a Washington license 479-VWQ. Anyone with information on Blanco's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
