Search on for suspects in home invasion robbery

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. -- Detectives here are looking for two men who forced their way into a woman's home and robbed her in broad daylight.

The woman told sheriff's detectives the men knocked on the door of her home in the 9400 block of 163rd Avenue Southeast in Snohomish around 10 a.m. on Thursday.

When she answered, two men in their 30s forced their way into her home, detectives said.

The 54-year-old woman told investigators the men bound her wrists with zip ties and put her in the bathroom. They then began taking things from the home, including a collection of firearms and electronics.

"They took the rings off her fingers the earrings out of her ears," said the victim's daughter, Carmen Bigelow, who was not home at the time of the robbery.

The woman was tied up for three hours as the men ransacked the house, investigators said.

"I mean for three hours, the house looked like it'd been dumped upside down and turned on its side," Bigelow said.

The men loaded the stolen items into the victim's black 2008 Toyota Tundra pickup truck. One drove off in the pickup while the other left in an older blue passenger car with a spoiler.

The woman was eventually able to free herself. She ran to a neighbor's house where she called 911.

"I saw a neighbor running up the street in her pajamas barefoot and she was calling my name, so obviously I knew there was a problem," said Judy, the neighbor.

The victim was badly shaken but aside from her swollen wrists, she was not hurt.

Bigelow said she tried to call her mother all morning but no one answered.

"Every time the phone rang, they threatened her that somebody better not be coming here," she said.

Bigelow said she and her mother have been living at the house for the past six months. She said she moved in after her father died.

"Anything I had here is gone. Anything my father bought me is gone. My laptop's gone. My camera, all my pictures are gone. Everything is gone," she said.

Police are looking for two men. The first robber is said to be a white man who stands 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was last seen wearing glasses, green knit cap, gray shirt and blue jeans. The second is a black man who stands 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a large black wig and bright orange shirt. Both men are considered armed and dangerous.

The pickup has a Washington state license plate that reads B27123F. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
