SEATTLE -- Unsafe road conditions have once again limited trash pickup on Saturday in Snohomish County as well as most of King County, including Maple Valley, Burien, Renton and all East King County areas. In addition, Waste Management has canceled all of its Sunday collection runs.

On Saturday Waste Management was planning limited curbside pickup, which excludes recycling and yard waste pickup, in Seattle, Federal Way, Auburn, Kent, Algona and Pacific on Saturday for regular Friday customers. Residents whose pickup had been delayed for two or three weeks in a row were allowed to leave out up to three times their normal limit at no extra charge.

North Seattle residents whose services have been delayed can take their garbage and recycling to the disposal station at 1350 North 34th Street. The free station is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. every day excluding New Year's Day.

CleanScapes has canceled Saturday pickup in Shoreline. Residents can bring their trash to CleanScapes' trucks, which will be stationed at Hillwood Park, 19001 3rd Avenue NW on Saturday. Service for Friday customers will resume on Jan. 3.

In Bellevue, Allied Waste Services said it will begin to pick up extra garbage, recycling and yard debris when service resumes Dec. 29.

King County residents outside city limits can take their trash and recycling to transfer stations in Tukwila, Enumclaw, Renton, Factoria, Houghton and Shoreline. For more information on these stations, click here.

Service for Kitsap County residents have been delayed until next Saturday for Friday customers. Regular service will begin Monday, weather permitting. Residents may take their trash to the Olympic View transfer station in Port Orchard, the Olalla Recycling and Garbage Facility or the Silverdale Recycling and Garbage Facility in the meantime.

Collection in Skagit County will be provided as access allowed with the exception of Stanwood, where road conditions pose a threat. Garbage may be taken to the Skagit County Recycling & Transfer Station in Mount Vernon, the Sauk Transfer Site near Concrete or the Clear Lake Recycling and Compactor Site.

Waste Management said it would notify residents by phone if conditions allow crews to pick up sooner than the next regularly scheduled day.

"Believe me. We are just as anxious as the customers to get it picked up," said Rita Smith of Waste Management. "There is still so much accumulation on the back streets. We've been able to get a lot of commercial clients because the main streets are pretty much cleared."

Residents are asked to clear snow off of trash containers and make sure they're not blocked in by parked cars for easier pickup.
