BELLEVUE, Wash. - Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 23-year-old woman at the home of a 26-year-old man in Bellevue.
Greg Grannis of the Bellevue Police Department said the victim's death was reported in a 911 call from the home at about 8:40 p.m. Saturday. Officers arrived at the scene, in the 14600 block of SE 19th Place in Bellevue, soon afterward. Detectives have been at the scene overnight preparing search warrants, and are now examining the residence for indications as to how the woman died, Grannis said. There were no obvious signs of trauma or violence, and no disturbance had been reported. However, police investigate any unattended death of a person of that age to determine if a crime has been committed. The victim reportedly did not live in the home where she died. She is not being publicly identified pending notification of family members. A 26-year-old man who lives at the home was arrested on unrelated traffic warrants. Grannis said the cause of the death may not be known until the completion of a toxicology screening, which usually takes several weeks to complete. |
