MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) - Two people arrested in November at a Meridian home where a 1-year-old boy died with drugs in his system have now been charged with multiple counts of felony injury to a child.

Denyel Loos, 25, and Christopher William Azary, 31, were charged in 4th District Court on Friday.

According to Ada County prosecutors, they were charged due to the poor living conditions authorities discovered when they were called to the home where Marc Azary stopped breathing Oct. 18.

Authorities have concluded that methadone, a drug sometimes used medically to treat heroin addiction, was in the toddler's system when he died.

Two other children at the home have been removed to state custody.

Another woman, Tia Henrikson, has also been charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance for allegedly supplying Loos, who doesn't have a prescription for methadone.
