Police released this sketch of a suspect in an attack on an elderly woman in Vancouver, Wash., over the weekend.
VANCOUVER, Wash. - Police have released a sketch of a man suspected in the sexual assault of an elderly woman at a local retirement home.
The crime occurred about 7:15 a.m. Saturday at the Evergreen Retirement Home at 500 Main St. The victim, who is in her 80s, said a strange man wearing dressy clothes entered her apartment and assaulted her.
The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Southwest Washington Medical Center for treatment and a sexual assault exam.
Police were not sure how the suspect entered the facility, which is supposed to be locked between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. Officials at the retirement home had no comment on the incident.
The suspect was said to be wearing light-colored tan pants, dress shoes, a button-up shirt with a collar and a two-tone, dark- and light-colored jacket.
Police described him as a and clean-shaven, light-skinned African-American man in his late 20s to early 30s with a slender build ahnd short, black hair.
