Third victim alleges sexual assault by former school officer
TACOMA, Wash. -- A third victim has now come forward to claim she was sexually assaulted by a former security officer at Tacoma's Stadium High School.
Donte Lipscomb already faces four counts of sexual misconduct with a minor stemming from allegations from two female students that he had sex with them.
And these aren't the first times Lipscomb had been accused of having inappropriate contact with a female student. Back in 2008 at Oakland Alternative High School in Tacoma, Lipscomb allegedly gave a student a ride home in his personal vehicle.
The district said that kind of contact is totally against district policies.
And when the KOMO 4 Problem Solvers obtained Lipscomb's personnel file from Tacoma Public Schools, we found that two years after being hired, Lipscomb was written up for skipping required security training.
Then just a few months later, the district learned Lipscomb was giving a girl rides home in his personal vehicle, and lied about it when questioned.
He was put on leave for three months with pay and only lost pay during a three-day suspension.
We asked Tacoma School District Attorney Shannon McMinimee why Lipscomb wasn't fired:
"Because in that particular instance, the allegation at hand was that he gave a student a ride in a car," she said. "And that was the only information that was substantiated by the investigation."
Lipscomb wasn't fired, but he wasn't allowed to stay there either. Instead, he was shifted to Stadium High School where now more serious allegations have come forward.
The district says if they'd fired him back then, it likely would have been overturned. But after the recent allegations, the district says there was no question that Lipscomb should be fired.
Lipscomb remains out of jail on bail, but he'll be back in court on Feb. 28 to face the new allegations against him.
